Install Custom or Cynogenmod on Asus Zenfone 2

A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

[Prerequisites: – First you will need to unlock the bootloader of the phone and install the TWRP recovery.]

• ·         Download the custom rom you want for Your Device i.e. Asus Zenfone 2 {link for custom roms: http://download.crpalmer.org/nightlies/Z00A/} and also GAPPS is required {link for gapps: http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/gapps/5.1/gapps-L-4-21-15.zip}
• ·         After downloading the file, place both files without extracting on SD card or internal storage, NOW switch off your android phone
• ·         Boot into Recovery mode: Press and hold Power button (on Top) + Volume Up (on backside of the Zenfone 2) … wait till your phone vibrates, after vibration press the power button.
• ·         By pressing the volume up and down buttons of the zenfone 2, scroll onto recovery mode option and press power button (on Top)
• ·         Now in recovery mode perform factory reset or wipe data
• ·         After doing all the above steps, go to “Install Option” and search for the zip files that you have saved on your phone’s Micro SD Card ,{First install Custom rom.zip & then install Gapps.zip file.}

·         Go back to recovery main screen and reboot your device
